October 26, 2016Fort Lauderdale, Florida Fit on Flagler: The Fit Shop Joins Flagler Uptown as Anchor Tenant Flagler Uptown, the unique retail project located on the western portion of Flagler Village in Fort Lauderdale’s burgeoning urban core, just signed on anchor tenant The Fit Shop. This is the second location for the boutique fitness facility, with the first highly popular location in North Miami Beach. Alexia Koeppel of Rise Realty represented The Fit Shop.  Jaime Sturgis of Metro 1's Broward division handles leasing for Flagler Uptown. The Fit Shop (Fort Lauderdale), an industrial fitness boutique focuses on high intensity interval training (HIIT) through kickboxing, bootcamp and performance training classes. All of the workouts are centered on performance and functional efficiency. Operating off of the idea that bodies, just like cars, need to be serviced, fueled, repaired and maintained in order to run properly, the feel and look of the ‘shop’ resembles that of a car body shop, lending well to the design aesthetic of Flagler Uptown.  The recently repurposed 18,000 square foot warehouse houses a corridor of creative service-related tenants. The Fit Shop found the demographic of Fort Lauderdale's urban core surrounding Flagler Village a perfect fit.  "Having the chance to bring the Fit Shops concept to the heart of Fort Lauderdale and it’s eclectic and expanding community is a dream come true. This will be the company's first brick and mortar location.  Montce Swim will open its boutique location next door to the Fit Shop.  The Girls Club, and art gallery featuring contemporary pieces curated by and for women is also located nearby.
